Overcoming the challenges of COVID-related rescheduling and weather uncertainty, Ali and Bobby’s eagerly anticipated Tribeca Rooftop wedding was nothing short of perfection. The celebrations kicked off a day early with an intimate ceremony at a West Village church, leading up to the main event on the breathtaking Tribeca Rooftop. With the ideal summer weather setting the stage, sunset cocktail hour overlooking Lower Manhattan, and a lively reception infused with greenery, Ali and Bobby’s wedding was every bit the New York summer fairy tale they had dreamt of.

The Day Before

An Intimate Catholic Ceremony in the West Village

The day preceding the wedding, Ali and Bobby held an intimate church ceremony in the heart of the West Village, surrounded by their closest family. Reflecting her timeless taste, Ali wore a vintage suit dress, complemented by an adorable cloche veil for the event. As we roamed the West Village post-ceremony, capturing photos against the city’s unique backdrops, fellow New Yorkers shouted affectionate congratulations. Despite the sweltering August heat, there was nothing that could deter the utterly magical feeling of the day.

Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party at Coco Pazzeria

As the evening set in, the couple reunited with their loved ones at Coco Pazzeria in Tribeca for a rehearsal dinner and welcome party. The evening was filled with delicious Italian food, heartwarming toasts, and speeches that set the tone for a warm weekend of celebration in the city they call home.

The Venue

Tribeca Rooftop | New York, NY

Ali and Bobby’s choice of venue, the Tribeca Rooftop in NYC, was as much a tribute to their shared history as it was a celebration of their future. Offering spectacular cityscape views and a culinary experience that is second to none, the rooftop delivered an authentic taste of New York within a sophisticated and contemporary setting. But more than just its physical qualities, this venue held deep personal significance for the couple – it was in the same neighborhood where they first lived, purchased their first home, and have spent the past 7 years together.

Morning Details & Getting Ready

The Girls | Soho Grand

On the morning of the big day, the bridal preparations took place at the Soho Grand Hotel, on West Broadway. A close-knit circle, including Ali’s two bridesmaids (her sister and soon-to-be sister-in-law) and the matriarchs of the family, joined the bride. The group wore matching white pajamas for their getting-ready outfits while the expert hands of Jessie Lynn (makeup) and Sarah Rappolt (hair), prepped them for the day.

Influenced by her work in the fashion industry, Ali’s choice of attire for her wedding day was stylish and sophisticated. She stunned in a beautiful halter cross-over gown by Galvan London, complemented by sleek white strappy shoes. Statement earrings that reflect an aesthetic that is both subtly sophisticated and classically elegant completed her ensemble.

The Guys | Private Residence

Meanwhile, in a charming private home, groom-to-be Bobby slipped into his black tuxedo, surrounded by his seven closest friends and the proud fathers. His refined look was nicely paired with a bowtie and black loafers. Inside the lining of his jacket held a special detail– both the original and rescheduled wedding dates. A sly nod to the unexpected detour their journey to the altar had taken. The father of the bride also sported a custom tie with a note from Ali sewn on the back. It’s these lovingly curated details that showcased Ali and Bobby’s thoughtful approach to their much-anticipated wedding day.

First Look & Portraits

Intimate Pre-Ceremony Moments

Choosing to share a private moment before the formalities began, Ali and Bobby decided to exchange their personal vows during a pre-ceremony First Look. Ensuring the location was as memorable as the moment itself, we chose a nearby garage door flooded with striking, reflective sunlight as the backdrop. It was a beautifully intimate and emotional scene that brought the tears and all the feels.

Kind Words from the Couple

“We are SO thrilled about how you captured the night, it was exactly how we remembered it and a few other moments we couldn’t experience without being everywhere at once.

It was the perfect blend of getting the “classic” shots you want from your wedding but still feeling like “us”. You knew how important that was to us and you nailed it on the head!

We could truly spend HOURS looking at these photos and we haven’t even seen them all yet!!!

The Wedding Party

Simple, Classic & Modern

Among the wedding party were Bobby’s seven best friends, serving as groomsmen, and the sisters of both Ali and Bobby acting as bridesmaids. The choice to limit the bridal party exclusively to family members was deeply personal to Ali who, being the warm, caring person she is, wanted her wide friendship circle to feel equally included.  In a unique move to make sure everyone was involved, we captured a beautiful photo moment after the ceremony, which included all of Ali’s closest friends.

The Tribeca Rooftop Ceremony

Overlooking One World Trade Center and Lower Manhattan

The perfect weather was the cherry on top of an already very special day. As Ali and Bobby stood, hand in hand, ready to say ‘I Do’ on the Tribeca Rooftop, the iconic silhouettes of the One World Trade Center and Lower Manhattan peeked up behind them. It was a scene straight out of a feel-good film. It wasn’t all about the big moments, though. The little reactions of their nearest and dearest revealed some of the most beautiful parts of the event. Those tears of joy, genuine laughter, and contented smiles were all part of the rich tapestry of emotion. Mask-free and in the moment, it was clear that Ali and Bobby’s decision to postpone the wedding had been more than worth it.

The Sunset Cocktail Hour

Martini Bar, Signature Drinks & Great Food

Post-ceremony, the rooftop became the hub of conversation and mingling for cocktail hour. As the sun painted a vibrant sunset across the city skyline, Ali and Bobby took it upon themselves to catch up with each one of their guests. The view alone was a talking point among attendees, particularly those visiting the city for the first time. Guests enjoyed personalized cocktails from the martini bar and sampled delicious hors d’oeuvres, accompanied by an incredible fish ice sculpture echoing their seafood theme. Treasuring the last traces of sunlight, everyone soaked in final city views before transitioning to the indoor festivities for the night.

The Indoor Reception

Dinner, Dancing, Speeches & Cake

Kicking off the celebrations, Ali and Bobby made a memorable entrance down the balcony of the venue, elegantly stepping into their first dance, accompanied by a live band. Soon, every guest was swaying along on the dance floor, before taking their seats.

Bobby’s father delivered a heartfelt speech, which was a standout moment of the evening. He concluded his touching expressions with the phrase “por cento anni” – a tender sentiment in Italian meaning “for 100 years”. This deeply moved Ali, as she had spoken these exact words in Italian in her private vows to Bobby. This touching moment amplified the intimacy of the entire evening.

Post dinner and speeches, the reception progressed with the ceremonious cake cutting, and parent dances, eventually culminating in an epic dance party where everyone let their hair down on the dance floor. It was an unforgettable night in the most iconic city in the world – cheers to Ali & Bobby!
