A Chic and Stylish Wedding at The Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg
One of my favorite venues in Williamsburg for a wedding is The Wythe Hotel. Located at 80 Wythe Avenue in Brooklyn, the hotel was originally a warehouse space. Converted into a 70-room hotel and event space, The Wythe is the perfect space to keep things beautiful and intimate while still having a quintessential New York feel for out-of-town guests.
When I first met Jolie and Ryan for a drink at a bar in Williamsburg a few blocks away from The Wythe Hotel, where they would have their wedding…we instantly hit off. After being at so many weddings, they wanted to keep things intimate and personal with their most loved family and friends. Great food, great party, great outfits – especially since Ryan is the founder of Greats Sneakers.
Despite the beautiful evening, earlier in the day it was grey and the rain began at exactly the scheduled time for the first look. When we saw raindrops on the windows and Ryan was waiting downstairs, I quickly acted to push all the furniture out of the way in Jolie’s hotel suite at The Wythe and played their favorite song on a speaker. Ryan entered the room to Jolie, and it led to the sweetest and most beautiful moment for them to share before their day kicked off.
With 70 guests in attendance, the couple wed under an open roof in the Garden Terrace and had dinner over candlelight under the stars. Jolie worked with her close friend Fernando of FDK Florals to do a unique yet simple table setting. Long tapered candles, cheese cloth, and stunning bright red florals to set the scene for the event.
