As wedding photographers, we have so much experience shooting at different locations and venues. Literally, we’ve seen it all – over 300 weddings from NYC to California to London to Hong Kong. We thought it would be helpful to share our insight into venues to help potential couples with planning for the wedding. Here’s all the details about weddings at the Wythe Hotel!
Located just a stone's throw from Manhattan but feeling like a world away, The Wythe is one of Brooklyn's best wedding venues for weddings small and large.
This 1901 factory-turned-boutique hotel located on Williamsburg's iconic waterfront is a uniquely wonderful space for any wedding. The space feels industrial with original brick walls and soaring ceilings, yet also elegant and refined that can accommodate any taste and style. Plus guests can stay on-site!
One of the best parts of having your wedding at The Wythe is the flexibility. You have many spaces to use, yet the professional expertise of their events team. All menus are crafted in-house by their restaurant The Reynard.
Whether you are planning an intimate affair with close friends and family or having a blowout wedding, you have a number of options at The Wythe.
Their indoor space seats up to 140 guests, while the semi-outdoor (with a retractable roof) can seat up to 100. You can even get married in one of their penthouse lofts featuring full glass-to-ceiling windows and a rooftop terrace overlooking the NYC skyline. After your ceremony on the roof, you can have a seated dinner for up to 18 people or standing cocktails for up to 50 people.
The cherry on top for this venue is the location. Not only will you have an incredible selection of backdrop for your photos (helllllo street art and skyline views), there is so much to do around the area for your guests. The team at The Wythe will assist you with booking room blocks for guests and make recommendations for all the activities in the neighborhood for your wedding weekend. You could hit up Brooklyn Bowl right across the street for a night of bowling before your wedding!
Most couples getting married at The Wythe only need one photographer considering that everything is happening on-site. You are getting ready in the same spot where you are getting married! However, if you are having bridal parties or over 100 guests at your wedding, a second photographer would help capture all of your guests and add flexibility to your timeline.
One of the questions I most often hear from couples is, "How many hours of coverage do I need?" Depending on logistics and timeline for your wedding, you will need a photographer for 6-9 hours. Smaller, more intimate weddings need less coverage while larger weddings will need closer to 8-9 hours.
