A Chic and Sophisticated Wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns

Caitlin and Michael’s elegant wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns was perfect. On a day in mid-June, over 250 of the couple’s closest family and friends gathered to celebrate their love. They danced under the stars all night long. Located at the famous farm in Tarrytown, Blue Hill at Stone Barns is the Michelin-starred original farm-to-table restaurant. Located in an elegant converted barn, the restaurant and event space is on gorgeous grounds.

There were a number of unique details at the wedding, including a two-part gown created by Sachin + Babi – one of the final dresses from their bridal line. Katie Fischer Design designed the stunning invitations and all calligraphy done by Becky Larimer, one of the White House calligraphers. Escort cards were handmade feather paper and hand calligraphed by the bride’s father.

How They Met

It was a no-brainer decision for the couple, who are two New Yorkers with a love of food, style, and community. A retired professional marathon runner, the bride is currently the CCO of Naadam, a sustainable cashmere company that produces luxury knitwear. The groom served in the Army Special Forces as a Green Beret until 2013. Afterwards, he moved to New York City to work in asset management. He met Caitlin thanks to a lil dating app called Bumble.

Who would guess that Caitlin and Mike would go from a first date at a speakeasy in the West Village after swiping right to an elegant wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns? A native New Yorker and cynical dater, Caitlin had her doubts. However, on the first date all she could think was, “This is the man I’m going to marry.” Impressed and shocked that she ordered a whiskey on the rocks, Mike said to his brother after their date, “This one is a keeper.”

The rest is history.

As seen in The New York Times.

Instead of the usual spiel, let me give you the real scoop on what I do and why it might just be what you're looking for in your wedding photographer.

My approach? It’s all about capturing the raw, unfiltered joy and those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments. I believe in photography that tells a story - your story - with all its unique quirks, laughter, and, of course, love.

I’m talking about the tearful smiles, the spontaneous dances, and the silent glances that speak volumes. My style is a blend of candid documentary and artistic flair, ensuring each photo feels as real and vibrant as the moment it captures. I don't just take pictures; I preserve memories.

Welcome to the party! I’m Katherine Marchand.
