As wedding photographers, we have so much experience shooting at different locations and venues. Literally, we’ve seen it all – over 300 weddings from NYC to California to London to Hong Kong. We thought it would be helpful to share our insight into venues to help potential couples with planning for the wedding. Here’s all the details about weddings at the Wythe Hotel!
Located just a stone's throw from Manhattan but feeling like a world away, The Wythe is one of Brooklyn's best wedding venues for weddings small and large.
This 1901 factory-turned-boutique hotel located on Williamsburg's iconic waterfront is a uniquely wonderful space for any wedding. The space feels industrial with original brick walls and soaring ceilings, yet also elegant and refined that can accommodate any taste and style. Plus guests can stay on-site!
One of the best things about having your wedding at The Wythe is the range of spaces you can use—it’s flexible without ever feeling overwhelming, and the events team truly knows how to make the most of it. Whether you’re planning an intimate celebration or a full-on party, you’ve got some seriously gorgeous options to work with.
Their main indoor space can seat up to 140 guests and offers that perfect blend of industrial charm and modern polish. The semi-outdoor Garden Terrace with its retractable roof is ideal for a more open-air feel and can seat up to 100. For something more intimate, the penthouse lofts are next-level: full glass walls, sweeping NYC skyline views, and a private rooftop terrace. After your rooftop vows, you can host a seated dinner for up to 18 or a cocktail-style reception for up to 50.
Bar Blondeau, their rooftop bar, is also available for weddings, cocktail hours, or full receptions — with views that absolutely deliver. And if you're thinking about an after party? The Wythe has you covered with unique options like the Cellar and the Screening Room, perfect for keeping the celebration going into the night.
If you’re getting married at the Wythe Hotel, you already know it’s not your average venue. One of our favorite tips for couples here is to really lean into the natural light — the rooms upstairs (especially the suites!) get the most incredible midday light, which makes them perfect for getting ready photos that feel soft, intimate, and editorial.
Inside the main event space, the warm tones of the wood and brick can be beautiful — but it’s a good idea to avoid any super cool-toned lighting (like blue or purple uplighting), which can clash with the space and feel off in photos. Instead, think warm candlelight, café bulbs, or amber-toned uplighting to keep everything feeling cozy and romantic.
And don’t be afraid to step just outside! Even a quick walk around the block gives us that true Williamsburg texture — graffiti walls, cobblestone streets, ivy-covered brick — which adds such a rich, layered backdrop to your photos without needing to go far. The Wythe is one of those rare venues that gives you variety without ever feeling overdone. With a little bit of planning and good light, we can make something truly magical out of every corner.
