As a wedding photographer, we have years of experience shooting various locations and venues in Brooklyn and New York City (literally – we’ve photographed over 300 weddings!). When navigating the wedding planning process, it can be so difficult to figure out venues, vendors, logistics, and budgets. So we thought it would be helpful to give some information based on our experience photographing nearly a dozen weddings at Greenpoint Loft. So here’s all the details on Greenpoint Loft in Brooklyn!
Greenpoint Loft is situated in the heart of Brooklyn, right on the edge of Williamsburg and Greenpoint located at 67 West Street. Surrounded by water towers and warehouse buildings, the venue overlooks the New York City skyline from its private terrace. The view from the rooftop can make you fall back in love with NYC all over again, amazed at its beauty. The venue is close enough to the city to be accessible to many hotels and landmarks, yet far enough away that it feels like another world.
The beauty of Greenpoint Loft is the flexibility of the raw space, giving you a limitless number of options for ceremony and reception setup so you can truly make your wedding your own. Whether you want to do a ceremony in the round, or with the loft windows and raw exposed brick as the backdrop, all these aspects are what make Greenpoint Loft so unique.
Getting married at this venue means having up to 180 of your closest family and friends by your side, stunning New York City views, and flexible design in the raw industrial loft space. You bring in a caterer of your choice, and can have either a buffet or sit-down dinner.
What’s also great about Greenpoint Loft is that it’s perfectly located. On a secluded street away from the hustle and bustle of Williamsburg but still only a stone’s throw away from Manhattan by cab.
And for a little on the history, the area of Greenpoint is a pretty rad place to explore. It’s a mixture of old New York with the modern feel of Brooklyn, with a food scene that attracts tourists year-round. Think lots of redesigned warehouse spaces overlooking the water, local shops and businesses, and new designs. Greenpoint Loft itself is actually a pre-WWII rope factory!
When the weather is good, Brooklynites are all about spending time outdoors and soaking in the sun. Transmitter Park is only a few blocks away from Greenpoint Loft. With stunning street art and views of Manhattan, it makes an excellent place to do a First Look or wedding party photos!
Even better, there are lots of local wine bars and cute spots in the neighborhood. Le Fanfare is a romantic, cozy Italian spot on Manhattan Avenue that does private events – perfect for your rehearsal dinner! The infamous Brooklyn club Good Room is just a short walk from the venue, an excellent place to continue the after party and dance the night away.
If you choose Greenpoint Loft for your wedding, you’ll not only have a gorgeous and unique location for your celebration in New York City, but also some quality time with those you love in a local Brooklyn neighborhood that’s packed with things to do.
We love that it’s becoming more common for couples to get married in their local city and making their wedding their own. Greenpoint Loft is a great Brooklyn venue to plan an incredibly fun and memorable wedding weekend.
